James Peterson

Summary

James Peterson is professor emeritus in the Department of Recreation and Park Administration at Indiana University. He is a past president of the National Recreation and Park Association and has held numerous national and state positions in recreation and professional organizations. He taught park and recreation management at IU and worked, on a joint appointment, as a cooperative extension specialist in parks and recreation at Purdue University for more than 20 years. He has also worked as a professional park and recreation superintendent in Evansville, Indiana, and Emporia, Kansas, and as a senior recreation supervisor in Kansas City, Missouri.
