Summary
Michelle Monroe-Cook became a project manager at the Eppley Institute in September 2016. She brings over eight years of experience in training, evaluation, technical assistance, and implementation of physical and program accessibility in parks and recreation environments to the Eppley Institute. With a master’s degree in Recreation Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in Health & Physical Education, Michelle brings to the Eppley team both clinical knowledge and practical experience in understanding and appreciating how people with disabilities interact with and benefit from parks, recreation, and public lands opportunities. Michelle manages the Accessibility Certificate Program and serves as an integral member of the National Park Service (NPS) Park Facility Management Division training team.
